Does anyone else get violation emails that contain no info on what guideline or content is being reported?

I have got several violation notices from Yahoo recently [never had any before in over a year]. Where they say someone has reported my answer for breaching guidelines but they never state any details on what guidelines I'm accused of breaking or what content in my answer is supposed to be breaking a guideline. Anyone else ever get these??? I always Appeal and ask for more info but never get a reply from Yahoo... They all seem to be when the question has been up for several days and the asker hasn't chosen a best answer, so it goes to votes. It seems "dodgy" to me as it seems to only happen if my answer is polling the most votes or if it's close between my answer and one other. Like the other person being voted for is reporting my answer to try get it removed so they win the vote.... Anyone else out there with similar stuff happening to them?

Update:

I DO KNOW the "Guidelines" and I wouldn't appeal anything if any of the content of my answer possibly broke them. It seems strange that it says my answer has already been deleted yuet if gives no actual evidence/reason.

Update 2:

If you read the question properly you would KNOW that I already am fully aware of the guidelines!! So people telling me I have probably breached them unknowingly are not helping or answering the actual question posed.

You do not get reasons, especially detailed ones except rarely. Sometimes it is for legal reasons, but most of the time the reason will be "chatting" or "improper format". Since most have never read the rules, that would not help, so they don't do it.

If you want to know the reason for the violation, post "Why was this question (answer) a violation?" and add the original e-mail you got so the users can see the exact context. The experienced users here will explain it to you. There is no statute of limitations on breaking the YA rules.

Appealing should only be done when you know your question or answer was reported in error. If you don't know, don't appeal. That's not what the appeals process is for. Right now, it's clogged by people who are appealing everything, and it's taking forever to get any answers on appeals. Only appeal when you know you're right.

To find out if you are right, read the Guidelines. We all had to agree to follow them when we signed up to use this site, so it should come as no surprise that there are rules here. If you agreed to follow the rules, you really need to know what they are. Please read them. The Community Guidelines (a.k.a. the rules) are found under the ABOUT tab at the top of the page. They are short and should only take you a minute to read through. Please do so.

Chances are strong that when you do read the Guidelines, you'll find out which ones you broke. It is most likely that you broke the rules because you don't know what they are.

Because this is an information exchange site -- not a chat room or social contact site or discussion forum -- questions here should be seeking information or advice of interest to the community in general. Questions whose answer is only of interest to the asker, questions seeking only opinions, questions that are only expressing an opinion with a question mark at the end, questions that seek to start discussions, and so on, are not allowed here. Please read the rules.

I have had them. They dont give a reason. I think that link to an appeal form is a bit of a scam as the appeal form doesnt contain anything to say its you or details of the offending post.

Its better to e mail customer care on a private e mail. Copy and paste the long string on the violation notice onto your e mail and giving your yahoo mail name explain why you are appealing. I have found them very good send it to y_answrs_team@tahoo.com the e really is left out. EDIT I would have thought someone like your good self who is a TC would have read the rules by now,but it goes without saying you should only appeal if you are 80% sure you are in the clear. Things can be very borderline.

There is no info provided for reported content..only if it is a violation notice in which case staff actually removed your content. All the info you need to know what you did wrong is provided when you get your account and click saying you read it and agreed to follow it.
