Does the medicare card in the US being accepted in the Philippines?

Can a medicare card holder in the US use their card and receive the same medical treatment in the Philippines. I knew somebody who want to go back to the Philippines but worried about medical services. This kind of service is expensive in the Philippines and was thinking of being refuse medical attention in hospital because of the lack of medical insurance in the Philippines. Is there anybody there in the Philippines who know something about this?

Update:

@ Oneiloil,

Is there a way other than buying a Philippine kind of health insurance?

Sorry but it is no good here. If your friend or his wife is a Filipino they can put it in her name & he will be covered - cost 100 Pesos per month. But the DRs here are very cheap. I get my protime test & DRs exam for about $12, CBC blood test is $10,complete abdominal sonogram for $45 plus you can get most medicines without a prescription.. I got a printout of what I was taking from my US DR & have been using it for over 3 years now.

honest sufficient. Now your turn to answer: What good will Paul Ryan's $15,000 do me whilst the charges of well-being care upward thrust with inflation and no person will grant me with coverage via fact i'm seventy two and a scientific criminal duty? in certainty, if i'm fortunate sufficient to get coverage, what number of that voucher will cover my rates, co-will pay, and medicines costs and how plenty will my out of pocket costs be? Will I additionally be waiting to attend to to pay for housing, nutrition, utilities, and transportation? What happens if I also have a substantial scientific experience and ought to have a protracted stay interior the well-being facility, or desire long-term nursing care in a facility and can't take care of to pay for it? I nevertheless have 27 years earlier i'm Medicare eligible and 34 years earlier i will retire and get all of my advantages. once I retire, i will might desire to pay a COBRA to maintain some form of available coverage until eventually i will get entry to the Social risk-free practices and Medicare that I even have been paying into considering that i became into 14. i might think of given the two considered one of our hypothetical, we will the two be SOL. @CB> in addition they shrink the point of care that they are going to grant. Ryan's plan will supply them carte blanche to do what they desire via fact the coverage firms will administration the marketplace and could alter it via who receives coverage and who does not. we will see approvals for preventative care measures and severe cost procedures would be concern to approval. coverage firms often is the genuine dying Panels!
