Neuroscience vs Pharmacology?
I'm undergrad who is pre-med
I know any degree works for medical school, all I need is the prereqs
but I'm interested in which would be the best for a MD/PhD
Right now I'm doing biophysics research and it's quite interesting. I might want to do molecular neuropharmacology because I love the brain, drug design/discovery, and medicine.
help!!

I'm by all means no expert in either one of those fields, but I would assume that pharmacology, though a fascinating field, would be less useful for becoming a doctor than neuroscience. Pharmacology is more focused on drugs and their biochemical effects on the human body. While that is important to understand as a doctor, it would be a lot more useful to a Pharmacist, for example. Neuroscience is more focused on the physical aspects of the brain and nervous system and would be more useful for becoming a doctor.
Then again, you never specified what you were interested in pursuing in the long run.
