Physics Momentum Problem Help!?

A 18.00 lead sphere is hanging from a hook by a thin wire 3.20 long, and is free to swing in a complete circle. Suddenly it is struck horizontally by a 7.50 steel dart that embeds itself in the lead sphere.

How do you do it??

The answer is V = 42.6 m/s

    You need to clarify:

    1) What units are "18.00 lead sphere," "thin wire 3.20 long," and "7.50 steel dart" in?

    2) What is the question asking?

    3) What is the answer V = 42.6 m/s referring to?

Add these pieces of the information to the question and we can solve it.
