Are skiers smarter than snowboarders?
Given the fact that so many snowboarding questions end up in the "Skiing" section and so few skiing questions end up in the "Snowboarding" section, I can only conclude that 2-plankers are indeed brighter than knuckledraggers. Agree or disagree?
(I am just picking on snowboarders. I don't really hate you.)

I'm going to take your question a little bit seriously. First, I don't believe there is one iota of difference in native intelligence between skiers and snowboarders. Then, I would add, there is often a huge difference in experience between skiers and snowboarders.
To get to the top of the mountain as a skier you take years. Yes, skiing is harder to learn than snowboarding. Skiing, oh say, 20 days a year (that's a lot for most people), even with lessons you won't be anything more than a pretty good intermediate after one year. However, you have learned the basics, you ski with other skiers who have learned before you and have a basic grasp of etiquette on the hill. You may even have read "Your Responsibility Code".
If you are a beginning snowboarder, you will have the skill to get down most anything on the hill after about 3 days, at least one of which includes a lesson. You can then go to the top and heel skid down. It's not pretty, but it works and it feels safe. At this point you don't know it's not safe for you or other snow-sliders on the hill to stop and sit down over the brink of a rise in the middle of a trail.
This is not because you, as a snowboarder are stupid, it's because you simply don't have the experience to know it's not safe. Further, as a beginning snowboarder, you are probably fairly young. This often means that you have a certain attitude towards others who might offer suggestions about the safety of your actions further compromising your (and others) safety.
Other skiers may say that having a snowboarder uphill from them is a bit scary. This is because of the sound a snowboard makes when the rider is controlling speed. For me, as long as I can hear this, I reasonably sure the rider IS in fairly reasonable control. Other issues, such as riding too close to another snow slider goes back to the experience thing. But then I've had skiers cut a bit too close from time to time so it's not unique to riders.
A good rider/snowboarder is a good snow slider. And I know lots of good riders staring with my boss at Killington.

I've noticed the same thing. Snowboarding questions seem to post everywhere besides the snowboarding section. I rarely see a skiing questions outside of the proper section. This is the reason why I occasionally check on your section.

I believe the skiers are paying more attention to what they are doing. The boarders seem to think only they matter when they are on the hill. They'll stop and block a trail and the gripe if you ask them to move to the side. They'll strap in in the unloading area of the lift and cause danger to others. It seems to be an attitude generated by them that the old courtesies of skiing do not apply to them. Run over some one from behind and they take off without checking for injuries. Many just do not care for anyone else.

a snowboarder went over the tips of my aunts skis and she broke her collar bone. he cut her off and just left while she was in pain on the ground. yes skiers are smarter.

Snowboarders are dumb enough to strap both feet into one board.
Skiers have to multitask using both feet and arms individually.

hhahahaaaa, im not sure, snowboarding i find harder, but then i love the speed you can go with skiing

i don't get your question. the two feet are strapped to an identical board. you ought to saran wrap them at the same time and as long as they could bend on the knees and hips the mobility would be an identical.

It's just a matter of personal preferences.

No. It depends on which the person prefers to and what sport are they more comfortable with.
