    A is correct. Once a nerve impulse is triggered, there's no way it can be stopped.

    B - neurons have no physical contact with each other; there is a gap between them called the neurotic cleft, which is what neurotransmitters diffuse across.

    C - information isn't processed in a synapse; it's processed in the brain.

    D - Ca+ diffuses into the pre-synaptic neuron, not the post-synaptic.
