Is everyone in the USA having a Happy Thanksgiving, all politics aside?

Today is not the day for animosity. Happy turkey day to ALL my allies and enemies, I look forward to jousting with all of you tomorrow.

@ Summertime: I'm in Bremerton, WA. Your "someplace else", might be a good bit east of me.

To the rest of you, with one exception, thanks for keeping politics out of this question. I ask , answer many and am always a Conservative/Republican, but I am first and foremost, an American and just want this most American of holidays to be peaceful. Happy "T" day to you all.

    There is hunger in the land of plenty. Republicans want to slash and have already slashed assistance to the poor. There were more than a thousand people and their families lined up for turkey dinner at the Skid row and shelters today. I help once a year feeding the hungry. Next, toys for tots.

    We are doing the big family get-together Saturday and thanks for the well wishes.

    I wish the best to all of you and your families.

    We will be serving Louisiana seafood gumbo. (shrimp, crabmeat and oysters in a well seasoned roux)
