Should they elininate interleague play?

I think yes because it really doesn't have a point. It is not like you will know how the team you will play in the WS is gonna be the same as a couple interleague games.

I wouldn't miss it. But MLB loves it enough -- it makes money -- to enact it throughout the entire season, unless some corrective measure is imposed before 2013.

I'd vote for wholesale realignment. There's no real point to retaining the AL and NL as-is, so why not blow it up REAL good and piece it back together better? It would work out more or less well enough, and it'd be a damn sight more interesting than the witless tweaking we typically see happen.

I think they should continue with it, because they make more money at interleague games, like if your hometeam is in the American league, and the Cubs come and play them, the stands would be full because not only because they hardly ever play, but because the fans of that team, that never get to see them play come. No matter if the interleague visitor is good or bad, usually the stands are full, earning the stadiums, hotels nearby, and teams more money than usuallly, whic impacts there overall play (because they get better players, and the players are earning more money, which makes them happy) So they should keep interleague play, because it makes the teams, players, and fans happy.

Are there problems with Interleague Play? Yes. However, there are some interleague matchups (e.g. Mets vs. Yankees) that make Interleague Play worth it. Plus, it allows for World Series rematches, which can be kinda cool.

They can't now that there is going to be 15 teams in each league, which means there has to be an interleague matchup all the time. So no, not only can't they, they shouldn't get rid of it.

I so agree with Chipmaker. I been proposing eliminate the division and leagues make it 1 to 30 top 6 teams in playoffs . They get 3 days rest. Teams 7 to 10 have 3 game playoff 7 vs 10 8 vs 9. Regroup them again 1 to 8. Higher seed plays lowest in game playoff so-on so on. No inter league play since only one league.

There will be interleague all through the season in 2013 due to the Astros. I don't find anything wrong with it. I just think the DH rule is stupid

I don't believe so. Interleague has been a pivotal role in the MLB's success in the past 15 years.

    That's your reason?

So genius, what would you like them to do with 15 teams in each league? Give a team a week off while the other 14 play?

I hope not. It gives fans who live away from their favorite team more opportunity to see their team. For example I live in Utah and I was able to travel to Denver to watch the Tigers get their butts kicked by the Rox.

I guess, but does intra-divisional play serve a purpose? The Dodgers aren't in the same division as the Phillies...
