"Ribbons of crystals?
I have a rock ,holes worn thru from water, around holes it looks like ribbons of crystals have formed around it and taken place of rock, they are little round mounds of crystal gathered together to cover surfaces
A little more info perhaps? It looks as if it sat underwater and holes wore thru ,in some area's all the way thru ,,different layers of crystal, little round mounds grown together to make "veins' but they are as thick as the whole wall circling the whole rock all holes are covered in deep brown crystal filling in between sections? Hard to explain it

what you're seeing is differential weathering
At one point, that rock had layers of harder and softer mineral constiuents, the softer ones were weathered away, leaving only the harder one, which in your rock resembles ribbons wrapping around the rock
