Ford Motor Company: Was there a "Shift in leadership" of the company in the year 2008?

My professor explained that among the first moves made by the Ford Motor Co, in 2008, to ensure company survival, there was a "shift in leadership of the company". Yet I can't find anything relating to that. Any help would be appreciated.

Of course, the real leadership change that saved Ford Motor came with the change of Sept 2006 when a certain Boeing exec became CEO of Ford Motor. He is responsible for the large cash infusion to Ford's balance sheet. Wikipedia has a nice commentary on the subject:

In 2006, Mulally led the effort for Ford to borrow US$23.6 billion by mortgaging all of Ford's assets. Mulally said that he intended to use the money to finance a major overhaul and provide “a cushion to protect for a recession or other unexpected event." [22] At the time the loan was interpreted as a sign of desperation, but is now widely credited with stabilizing Ford's financial position, compared to crosstown rivals General Motors and Chrysler, both of whom had gone bankrupt during the Automotive industry crisis of 2008–2009. Ford was the only one of the Detroit Three that did not ask for a government loan.[23] While GM and Chrysler expect to be dramatically downsized as a result of bankruptcy, Ford is poised to emerge as the largest US automaker and shows signs of recovery. In May 2009, Ford chairman William Clay Ford, who hired Mulally, said that "Alan was the right choice [to be CEO], and it gets more right every day".[14]

If I have been making of venture, i could positioned my money no "NO". the hot international order is coming upon us now. there is not any room for midsection classification wages or hard artwork unions in a clean international order. Watch G-20 summit arising. If international financial order isn't a super stepping stone in the direction of international government, i do no longer understand what could be. How is there any u . s . sovereignty while a countrywide yields ability over its financial equipment to a miles better physique? i think of they gets bailed basically insofar because of the fact the elite-owned government needs to guard the main beneficial shareholders. as quickly as the wealthy are dealt with, those agencies would be allowed to fall. The industry will circulate to a element of the international the place human beings artwork for slave hard artwork wages.
