Another set of song lyrics to savor and review. Your thoughts?

Don’t Have a Home

Got a place to lay my head and mope when I have to go to sleep

A washer and some laundry soap, and a fridge for food to keep

I’ve got simple things aplenty that give apartments due

But this place still feels empty – it’s missing something true....

Don’t know why this life is so unkind

Don’t know why I can’t have peace of mind

Being here alone….Being here alone

Don’t know why it has to be this way

Without you here in my life each day

I don’t have a home….I don’t have a home

There’s some dolls smiling on the bed where my daughter’s head should be

I’m usually on my son’s instead, on those nights he should be with me

I wish there was more I could do to make a castle from a fort

After all the hell that I’ve been through, now the court tripled child support

Don’t know why this life is so unkind

Don’t know why I can’t have peace of mind

Being here alone….Being here alone

Don’t know why it has to be this way

Without you here in my life each day

I don’t have a home….I don’t have a home

Why can’t a single parent be a man?

Are children without fathers the new plan?

Is it wrong to ask for your own family

Just to end up poor without love or identity?

I’ve got simple things aplenty that give apartments due

But this place still feels empty – it’s missing both of you....

Don’t know why this life is so unkind

Don’t know why I can’t have peace of mind

Being here alone….Being here alone

Don’t know why it has to be this way

Without you here in my life each day

I don’t have a home….I don’t have a home

No, I don’t have a home….I don’t have a home

Nice set of lyrics there. When I read these I have a tendency to try to

find a rhythm to read it with, as if it were in a song. Some times this is

easier to do than others. But if I do it without the "music" and just read

it as a poem or sonnet, it does blend well, for the most part. I would

be more willing to give a little more specific input if you e-mail me and I

can e-mail you back. I notice some of your answer requests are already

"resolved" and I cannot answer. My e-mail is endroadsal@aol.com
