Escrow Closing company or Attorney?
Do your state use an escrow closing company or do an attorney act as the escrow closing agent to close real estate transactions such as purchase and refinance of property? What state do you reside in?

Depends on the lender. Some refinances are financed out of state and closing companies pay notaries (like me) and others to settle the final requirements.
Some closings are handled by attorneys and some title companies handle it themselves.
