y is it that the national day celebrations always end up in traffic snarls?

on some roads like abu dhabi cornish and dubai jumeirah road ? . y the revellars clog the road instead of keep it flowing and let every one enjoy the show....

pls dont compare me with faries . with due respect to all my pic in the profile is real me and have no other name .

Last year we went to Jumeira on 2nd December, to find the way to an office where my husband had to go for a meeting two days later. Before that we had no idea about celebrations.

This year we plan to stay at home!

It would be nice if a certain road is fixed for decorated cars to drive slowly from one end to another and the public stand on the sides to appreciate them.Like the carnival in Rio De Janero. This way the rest of the city will be driving peacefully and prizes can also be given to best decorative cars.

You are soooo right. Don't know about Jumeirah Rd but about the Corniche very well. I visited a friend living in one of the Marina villas and it took me forever to get back home. Then I notice a quarral between a Pakistani cab driver and a Tunisian Lady. She wanted to be dropped off at Corniche Family Park and he drove her to Khalediya Park. She refused to pay the fare and he refused to get back on the Corniche:)

Speaking about the Corniche, you may take into consideration that expecially in this area also most events are going on. Breakwater, Emirates Palace, beach, etc. all the way towards Mina/Yas Island.

Have you ever visited a big Carnival Parade with all their decorated vehicles? Same, same:) Just enjoy and go with the flow (you know in advance what to expect) or stay out of it.

    Take care.

I was wondering last week that whats happen in Dubai, every where i was driving there was a lot of cars and a trouble traffic, some times i found sub ways to runaway from traffic but i found a lot of car in the queue in the sub way also! Some times traffic of Dubai is getting Intolerable!

but about what and how the people are doing, it is depend to their culture!

Hello Sir, Hope you are well & Hope you have a blessed day (:

Lol, some people here are so patriotic. I am not bothering myself with the National Day, I know what to expect, the same thing.

Take my advise Sir, stay at home rather than wasting your time on Traffic Jam and watching some crazy people doing crazy stuffs in the middle of the road.

    Take Care ~

I was this evening at Mamzar Beach Road Dubai to enjoy the celebration and traffic.

I never enjoy a traffic jam in my life as this evening!! It was really fun and police came after 20:00 to tell" Ok, that's enough, go home now....................................

    HAPPY 40th NATIONAL DAY!!

    dear sas aka fairies

listen people in general are imperfect, they make mistakes, hence that goes to whatever has been made by humans so far indeed, but this sort of mentality of yours its not a mistake, rather it is something strange within the cyber world of yours, you do have a serious issues dealing with your reality, and in your case, i just know..you will always fail to be honest (even with yourself) you will continue to delude yourself probably until the day you die
