Coumadin (Warfarin) question. Is hair loss a "common" side effect of coumadin?
Also when it gets to high she feels kind of a heart burn "like" feeling. Is this a symptom of high INR or just coincidence?
For all you insomniacs out there.

Warfarin does not produce heartburn, but it can cause hair loss.

Unfortunately, there is not much data on this issue, but some patients on warfarin (Coumadin) do report hair loss. In over approximately 20 years of managing anticoagulant in several hundred patients annually, I have seen a few patients who have noticed hair loss after starting on warfarin. I have never seen one of these patients progress to partial or complete baldness.
Heart burn like + If INR is high than you got to stop and switch to alternate (consult your doctor on emergency basis)Insomniania /stress on of the major cause of hair fall.
Consult your doctor it is mandatory.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aOgMJ While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

All of these posted answers are very good. But one side effect not mentioned is that you cannot consume green vegetables high in vitamin K such as kale, spinach and broccoli. The small amount of vitamin K will dilute the wafarin and give you severe gas. Ask your doctor. Good luck.
