Aerial silk. Is it for me?

I don't have any way to stay fit, except exercise, and I never find the want to do it. I'm skinny, but not strong, and I don't care because I don't need the strength. So, I was thinking about Aerial Silks... ( is that the name for it?) I'd really like to do it, but the problem is that I'm not very trusting in myself... You know how you can bend your knees and hang upside down on a horizontal pole? I can't do that, cause I value my life too much, and am afraid I'll fall.

Is there any way to get myself to want to do it/ be more confident that I won't fall? How often do people fall doing this? Is it expensive? Is there anything special you need?

People fall a lot! But when you fall you have a lot of time to catch yourself! Just start with easy tricks low down, and you will be fine. It is pretty expensive to buy your own silks, and you will definitely need lessons. Lessons range in price but it depends what city you live in. Don't be scared of dying-- I do silks too and beginners are way more likely to get tangled than to fall off completely. I have never heard of a beginner dying!

just do pushups and jumping jacks to stay fit. i never find the want to do most other exercises either, but those two help keep me in shape. and your not risking your life doing them.
