Is there a reason people lecture people on answers,rather then just answering their questions?

So if some1 asked, how should I murder someone...?

what would u recommend. Shoul I lecture them, and tell them it is wrong, or should I take the high road & answer their question >>> maybe using a 9mm gun or a knife. avoid police. make sure u dont leave evidence (dna in particular), run away after commiting the crime asap. wear a trench coat

The example you give does answer the question. It just does it in a round about way. It is stating there is no "best" cigarette or way to get high. Learn to read between the lines.

Because it's a stupid question to ask with so many people looking down on it, just don't ask that if you don't want a lecture.

I do that because it gets the message out. Kind of like parenting.

Because smoking is bad for you. you really shouldn't do it.

Because there's always hope, even if little, that you change.

People like to place themselves in lofty positions amongst others. I am not in accord with that trend.
