Brother has shoulder pain?

My actual brother is a big jerk. He was poking fun at me and my stepbrother. My stepbrother kicked him and he fell out of our tree fort and he hurt his shoulder. Despite him being a jerk, I feel like I should help my actual brother get some treatment for his shoulder pain. Do you have any advice for me?

Crikey, remind me not to upset your step brother. Ask your injured brother these questions.

    1. Can he move his shoulder? [get him to hold his straight arm high above his head with his ear touching his shoulder, if he can do that, without severe pain, then get him to make a full circle backwards and around to the front brushing his hip and knee with his wrist and hand. If he can complete that full movement without severe pain, he has only bruised the joint or muscles around the joint.

Wrap his shoulder in a hot towel, (or heat pad) keep it warm by re-soaking it it in hot (not boiling water or re-microwave the heat pad). He should then try and move the shoulder joint gently until it recovers.

HOWEVER : If he has any of the following symptoms, get him to a medic/doctor :

Is unable to move the shoulder and is in continuous pain?

Shoulder joint area starts to swell and discolour, (red/blue)?

Has pins and needles running down his arm into his fingers?

He is unable to make a fist or move any of his fingers?

Last but not least, get your step brother to apologise and help you, there is no justification to assault his brother with the intent to render bodily harm. This is a serious offence, punishable by Law, even as a child.
