How to make a buzzer alarm?

i have a battery with a black and red wire connected to it,foil,clothes pin,buzzer,tape.

i taped the black wire from the buzzer and the black wire from the battery and then i put foil on the red wires and i put the foil in the clothes pin but it didn't make sound i dont know why can someone please help me ! or tell me another way to make the buzzer turn on while its on a door

    You never mentioned the other end of the buzzer's connection. You must complete the loop.

    1.) Connect the black wire from the battery to the negative side of the buzzer, then run a wire from the buzzer to a piece of foil. Put this piece of foil on one side of the clothes pin. YOU MUST connect to the negative terminal of the buzzer, or it won't work. If it's not working, turn the leads around.

    2.) Connect the red wire to a piece of foil, then put that on the other half of the clothes pin. When the connection closes, it should buzz.

    3.) If it's not, make sure to lick your battery connectors to make sure they have a charge.

    You can't use a battery. A battery is a direct current power source. Its needs to be an alternating current power source. That is 120 volt ac transformed down 24 volt ac or similiar voltage.

    I wouldn't attempt it without formal training.
