NO, questions are not 'moved', they are 'identified' in certain cases. Which has nothing to do with any 'options'; it is done automatically by the YA sites. But there seems to be some confusion about this, so let me try to explain it a bit. If I ask a question from the US site - and you are ON the US site, nothing is shown because we are on the same site. Similarly, if I ask on the UK site - and you are on the UK site, nothing is shown.

However, if I ask on the US site - and you are on the UK site (or vice versa), my question will show the "Originally asked in . . . " notation to alert you that the question is NOT from your own country/site. To see what I mean, try this link:

    http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=An...

IF that works right, it will show YOUR question (this one) as it currently being seen on the UK site. You will notice it now says: "This question about "I often see question… " was originally asked on Yahoo! Answers United States". This alerts the UK people where your question originated.

This is done to help people understand that when a question about LAW is asked, for example, quoting US laws to a person in the UK is simply NOT helpful - lol!

Nothing to stop someone from doing the old copy and paste to a question they may like some answers to ... just lets you know where the question originated

All that means is the asker is in the country it states. They have their setting to show where they are. Not everyone has their settings to show it.

If no best answer is chosen it goes to voting.

I don't know what happens if it does not get answered, I have seen some very old questions on here.
