what's this movie's title?

there is an old movie(color,not black and white),the son of a blacksmith goes to meet the sun and the son appears as an old man.the guy is in love with this girl,and the old man(the sun) gives hi three of his hair.he can use them as wishes or when he is in danger.ah,the moon appears to be the old man's(the sun's) wife.it is probably 30 to 40 years old,but i would love to watch it again as it's been more than 15 or 16 years since i have watched it last.thank you
