Im looking at this from the girl's perspective and you do have a point about coming on too strong. I mean obviously she is a nice girl you can totally like her. Maybe just for now hide how much you like her until you get to know her better. Then as you get to know her personality etc, ask her if she wants to grab a coffee, or eat together on lunch break, or if she knows a new place to find a good slice of pizza. Anyway don't be nervous. be her friend first, I wouldn't want a guy to tell me he really likes me after he just met me, but it wouldn't hurt to show her you're interested. I mean after all what's really going on in a girls head :P Sometimes I don't even know...

Aw, I think that's really sweet. How well do you know her? I'd try and get to know her a little first then maybe ask her out if she seems like she's interested after knowing her better, only because you don't want it to be awkward in the workplace.

It's usually not a good idea to go after a girl that works with you man. Especially if things don't work out. I'd say steer clear.
