Me and my son's father are going to court to file for custody we are both minors almost 18.

our parents will have to be with us right? but his mom is weird and talks about things that don't even come to what we came for. she changes the subject... about who I'm with and he was with in the past and blah blah blah!! In that case what do they do?

The lawyer will bring her back to the point. If she persists in changing the subject, the judge will admonish her.

The judge won't let HER say a word. If she talks anyway, she will be escorted to a holding cell for contempt of court. Your parents are NOT required to be present, and have NO legal standing in the custody of YOUR child.

the judge will not allow that.
