Technically, no, they can't void your warranty. Do some research on something called the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. In short, it is a Federal Statute that governs warranties on consumer products. It basically states that companies cannot require that only branded parts be used with the product in order to retain the warranty, meaning that Ford can't require you to use only Ford parts and must honor your warranty if you do not. As long as you don't damage the truck while installing it, they are legally obligated to honor your warranty. They may still try to tell you that your warranty is void if you need work done, but kindly pointing this out usually sets things straight again.
Source(s): Used to work at an automotive accessory shop. I've seen many a dealership try to void a warranty because of aftermarket parts because it saves them money. We used to keep copies of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act handy and give them to customers. Sorry, but Wikipedia was the quickest link I could find: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson-Moss_Warrant... - ?Lv 69 years ago
Hey Dylan,
The installation or use of any after-market product will not necessarily void the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. However, if the after-market product fails or causes a Ford Motor Company part to fail, the cost of the repair and any related damage(s) are not covered by your Ford Motor Company warranty.
Also, modifications to your vehicle could result in its not meeting either Federal Emission Control Standards or any applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard.
Ford Motor Company does not recommend changes to our products. Only changes that have been thoroughly tested and approved by Ford Engineering should be considered. In this case, Ford part numbers will be issued and parts made available for purchase through our dealers.

Assuming you reside interior america and offered the pc from a broker interior america, no, this would possibly not void your guarantee. The Magnuson-Moss guarantee Act (us of a Federal regulation, 15 USC 2301) prohibits a broker from invalidating your guarantee basically considering the fact which you made advancements or did upkeep.
