anorexia recovery help please readd!!?
im not underweight sadly so im a little embarassed to say im going under anorexia recovery but i don't binge or purge so i guess im ednos. but i started off 5'1.3/4" 150 pounds in beginning of october. im very shy so i got very homesick and scared and lonely and didn't eat very well. i would eat 80- 300 calories and max 500-600 calories and go on water fasts from 5-11 days i went down to 104 pounds by winter holiday and my parents were really shocked to see me. my bmi isn't underweight but i think i lost weight a little too quickly. i dunno can i possibly be considered underweight though? maybe my bone structure or something cuz i really look sickly and my rib bones, spine, collar bones, and hip bones are all really sticking out. But im working on refeeding myself with my parents and even though im slowly increasing and am eating 1000-1200 calories i wanted to do some light activity to gain weight a little slower and safer but i got so frightened because whever i stand up i feel weaker than i did when i was restricting and would feel like i would collapse, or faint.the bloating part i expected but i cant even stand properly much less stand so i cant even jog. But im scared and uncomfortable just sitting around doing nothing all day. Is it okay to just eat and not exercise at all while recovering?

First off, I'm glad you asked this question. But for you to only drink water exclusively for up to two weeks...might as well call that binge drinking when there is nothing else in your diet. Not eating a sufficient amount of calories is detrimental to your health in more ways than most people know. Your immune system is dramatically weakened which gives your body no choice but to succumb to illnesses and pathogens. Your metabolism suffers from not being able to break down fats, proteins and carbs, which can result in liver damage. As the liver is the most important organ in the body aside from your brain and heart, it's best to keep your liver as healthy as possible. In some cases liver damage can be so sever that some may suffer from internal bleeding and/or sleeping themselves into a coma. There's nothing wrong with sitting around and eating healthy foods, especially if your in an anorexia recovery program. But I would highly suggest eating more in the range of 1700 - 2000 calories... One of your mainly bodily functions is to digest food. Your brain, organs, immune system, digestive system, lymphatic and endocrine systems cannot possibly function to maximum potential if their not given the energy required to remain operational. You may not notice it now, but your eyes will slightly start to develop a permanent dilation, your hair and bones will become brittle, you lose your sense of taste, your teeth will even start to rot out among other health issues. I'm not trying to scare you by telling you all this information, just giving you an idea of the potential risk factors that accommodate anorexia and other eating disorders. I think it's awesome you trying to do something about it.
Is not going to be easy reaching that calorie limit off of healthy foods if your not use to taking in large quantities of sustenance *highly nutritional food and drink*. It's sad to say this but your body has to get use to taking in the proper nutrients it's been lacking from your scarce diet. Before you get use to taking in that many calories your probably going to feel lazy and maybe even more fatigued than usual. Like I said, your body is having to adjust all over again. Veggies and fruits are as healthy as you want them to be. It's best to eat fruits that are naturally grown than cultivated ones. I rather peel and eat my bananas and oranges than buy any fruits that are canned or in those plastic fruit cups. I would suggest frozen vegetable rather than canned, but most people choose canned vs. frozen because of the convenience of just opening up the can and heating up the food. I would buy some frozen chicken breast in the bags as your protein. Be SURE to let the chicken thaw out in the fridge, not your counter top, as to keep it indisposed form bacteria. To make it tasty I would cut it up into half inch pieces and stir-fry it with some teriyaki sauce and veggies. Pretty much any food you think to be healthy or not, just google it and decide for yourself. LIVETRONG.com is a great website to consult about food choices and exercise.
As far as working out is concerned, I would suggest some very light workouts, definitely nothing weight bearing for the time being. Push-ups and jumping jacks would be good to start out with..sounds really boring but there's no need to over do it. After a week or so start doing some jump roping and running intervals. Go out to the track and walk a lap, then run one and repeat this for a mile or so and start to increase the distance traveled when your body feels more comfortable. If this is still too much for you just take a walk and enjoy some fresh air. If you have a Wii console play the active games on there. http://www.livestrong.com/article/102490-light-wei... this site should help.
I hope I helped you out in anyway possible. Just keep a positive attitude and surround yourself with the same people and everything should be just fine.
