$300 at a bar? You like to live it up, huh? Well, it doesn't take someone with a degree in math to see that you can't be doing that everyday, but I would say you could have a nice vacation on about half what you are talking about.

$2000 is more then enough, especially with hotel and train fare etc already paid for.
The average person doesn't spend $300 usd in one day, because the average person doesn't go to the exclusive top New York Bar in the expensive Park Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo either everyday.
Bento boxes, and supermarket food, for $2000 you can stay there well beyond 7 days.

As long as everything else is paid for and you don't go too crazy with the spending, it'll be enough.
One person generally doesn't spend a lot of money.

If you will only need to pay for attractions and entrance fees, $2,000 will be more than enough for 7 days.
I spent less than that in Sept./Oct. this year.

Don't splurge that much. With everything already paid for, $2,000 should be more than enough for a week if you plan ahead.
