Does deleting my yahoo account delete this account?

With the Chinese eyeballing Yahoo to buy up, I'm concerned about my privacy and will be deleting my Yahoo account. Will deleting my Yahoo email account also delete this account? I really hate to have to do it but I feel like I have no choice in the matter.

    The Y!A account itself, YES.

    But what it won't do is delete your previous questions and answers. Those will remain online until the internet breaks or the world ends, whichever comes first.

    By delete you mean all the questions you asked and answered. Yes. It's linked to you account. But you can still access yahoo answers.

    Well, it will delete your access to your Answers account, but all of your existing Q&A will remain on the site.
