Good question that you ask. I would also like to hear the answer.
Note: Before I participate in communion, I always ask myself if I am ready to rededicate my life to Jesus (after surrendering it at age ten). Over ninety percent of the time, I have said "yes" and participated. A few times, I have said "no" (maybe had trouble sleeping, maybe have a problem with one person that needs to be straightened out) and passed the plate. It is unfortunate that some people who claim to be Christians and some Christians violate the Ten Commandments. Just try to stay as clean as you can.
