my minecraft server worked fine when i had my comp plugged into the phone line but now it wont work do you have any idea how to fix this problem?

Sounds like you have to set up the firewall settings in your router to allow traffic of a specific port to go through to your computer.
You'll have to find out which ports, if it's TCP or UDP, then find out how to make the setting changes in your router to allow connections to your internal computer from the outside.
