My cat has itchy scabs all over?
My cat is 2 1/2 years old. He's a male tabby and is up to date on all of his shots. For a few weeks now he has been getting these scabs all over his body but mainly on his neck and at the base of his tail. They're small and red and when he itches them off they turn into little bald spots, but hair eventually grows back. Also, when he scratches little black pieces that resemble flea poop. However, this isnt what it is because I have checked him multiple times for fleas as well as been treating him with Frontline. I can't afford to take him to the vet right now with christmas and all so I would really appreciate the help. Thanks.

He could have an allergy to fleas, he could have an allergy to the food he eats.
We had a cat who was bald around her tail, she was nervous and had a flea allergy. She was treated for fleas and loved on a lot and the baldness cleared up.
If your cat is eating good cat food with high protein content, then it's probably flea allergies. If he's been treated for fleas recently you might try putting olive oil on your hands and rubbing it into the affected areas. I've done that to my little girl kitty. She licks herself too much. So she'll lick off the olive oil, which is fat and is good for her, and the oil also helps her skin.
Hope this helps.
