PLEASE HELP! How do I cancel my Golds Gym Membership?

I have a golds membership contract for two years I admit i was stupid by not reading the contract or the fine print or anything. Any way the way I got it was I stuck my name in one of those boxes that say

HEY WIN A FREE YEARS MEMBERSHIP AT GOLDS TODAY!

Well i did exactly that and surprise surprise i got a call and they told me I had won a free membership. The person on the phone was really pushy because since I had no way of going to claim the membership they were willing to come by and drop off the papers for me to sign well I signed them didnt read the contract and now im paying for it.

They told me it would be 2 months free which it was not, I started getting collectors calls when i didn't pay the first two months. So after that I started having it deduct the payment from my pay check card. Well I quit my job a couple weeks ago haven't payed for December it was due last week and now I have been getting calls again.

I dont want to stop paying because I dont want to ruin my credit. The only way I can get out of it is giving it to someone else or moving 25 miles out of range for a golds gym. I wanted to know if it would be a good idea to fake a lease agreement 25 miles away from any gold gym in Utah there's 16 locations.

Will they check up on it? Do I mail, fax, email, them a copy so they can cancel it? If i do do that how tdo I go about doing it

Help would be greatly appreciated

Update:

it is $100 dollar transfer fee i checked ksl to see if they do get sold theres over 10 on there that people want to transfer only 2 of them have been sold. If i do do the fake lease thing its just the $100 to cancel

also please dont comment with nonsense or if you have no idea what you are talking about I need real answers not stuff that ive already tried

Update 2:

sorry bout that didnt know i just clicked manully to add into this catagory

write your local paper and explain your situation, then maybe if you can get one of the writers to send a letter to the gym exposing how they con people you will be able to get out of it. I had a very similar situation happen to me with Ballys's gym. I went the first day and didn't like it. Then when i tried to cancel that day they gave me the run around so i left. I tried to the next day but same thing.. after the 3rd day they said i couldn't cancel. I wrote a letter to the san bernardino sun and i explained my situation and after the writer sent a letter to them, i got a letter from ballys releasing me.

They have a cancellation fee that you can pay and get out of the contract or put it on ksl and sell your contract to someone else. I think its only a 20 dollar fee to change it to a new person.

You posted on the UK/Ireland, or All English site. Try the US only one.

I take you're from the US as you say deducting from your pay CHECK, which is illegal in the UK.
