Is the movie War Horse lame or is it worth seeing?

I just saw this movie today, it is amazing! I have to admit i did not expect much, to me i thought it would be pretty boring at first but i believe that it is a must to see. And don't just think that it's for the older generations as many people do think, but i am a 16 year old girl and i still really enjoyed it. It is quite a long movie, but it didn't feel like it, the time just flew by. The movie starts off mainly about the horse, but a lot of it is also about the war. It follows the journey of the horse through the war and it really gives you an insight on World War I and how tragic it really was. I know for a fact that about 93% of critics rated it as good, which is an amazing result. It was another huge success for Spielberg! I would definitely recommend that you see it!

It's based on a book by Michael Morpurgo, set in 1914 (around there). It's about a boy named Albert who takes care of a horse his father bought when he was drunk one night at a horse sale. He names the horse Joey. They are best friends through everything. Can't be separated. But one day, Albert's father takes Joey away to the camp the soldiers are stationed at and sells him to be a cavalry horse. (Eg. War Horse)

That's just the beginning. It's a drama and has lots of action war scenes. Although, I take it that it's (as well as being awesome) a very sad movie. And many people warn that it is not a movie for the faint of heart.

Saw the movie yesterday. It's very touching and it can get to you if you are emotional. It's more about the horse and its owner and getting through hardship. Also, War Horse is nominated for 2 Golden Globes including Best Original Movie(something along those lines). It was refreshing to see a movie with a different theme to it. I really enjoyed it and I am a teenager. I went with my mother for her birthday and she said it was "possibly one of the best movies I have ever seen." It is definitely worth seeing :)
