Anyone know of an inexpensive divorce lawyer in Madison County Kentucky?

No kids, uncontested. If you know what the lowest price should be in KY for a divorce, feel free to post that information as well.

If you both agree on everything. Just go down to the courthouse and get divorce papers. All the atty does is decide on who gets what and intercedes on your behalf..fights for your side against his side.

My last divorce, I told my husband. We worked to hard for what we have..we can decide who gets what like grown adults. You have to do this anyway !

A lawyer wants around $500 to walk in his door.

We did. I think it cost us $83 total. There's filing fees.

If you have some error on the form, the judge will just tell you to fix it and come back. Thats about all the judge does is make sure your paperwork is correct...unless there's some squabble to be worked out.

Dont buy the forms online. Get them from your courthouse.

If you and your "ex" are not speaking etc..then its going to cost both of you.

Call Social Services for your county and get the number for Legal Aid. Thats your cheapest atty.
