Is the American type of democracy the best way?

American pluto... I mean democracy is the ONLY way. Everything else is evil and socialist.

our form of democracy is the best,but it has been perverted and is currently not being practiced as it was intended.we are slowly sliding into a fascist state where industry and government join forces.that is a dangerous place to go,as the people become unimportant in the main function,where as a democracy lets industry and capitalism succeed with the interest of the citizens a very important part of the equation.big business and unethical politicians are destroying whats left of our democracy,and those protesting are what our democracy is based on.the people having their say and being the driving force,and not big business.we the people.united we stand.these are the words of a free nation.

A polyarchy is a system were the power resides in the hands of those who manage the wealth of the nation. The "responsible class of men."

The rest of the population is fragmented, distracted. Allowed to participate every 4 years to ratify the decisions made by the elite. Their allowed to come and say, "yes, thank you, 4 more years."

No because it only has 2 parties, but democracies like sweden's are better because you have like a very well organized system and people have more than two parties

The democracy sucks because we elect people who f**k up this nation. I believe in a monarchy, that way if we hate the ruler we can go old fashioned and kick their a** out! You can't do that here!

You mean the type in which the highest court in the land issues rulings striking down state and local laws that they have no business striking down and even issues a ruling that they won't allow every vote -- in a close presidential election -- to be counted? Nooooo, ......

It does not seem to be working very well.
