Volleyball Showcase Info?

I recently got a letter inviting me to participate in the "NoKaOi Volleyball Showcase" in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was wondering if anyone has ever participated in it and could give all the info they can on it. I already looked at the website and didn't get much from it and I don't think I can go to the meeting scheduled. Some things I want to know is how do they invite people and if there would be fundraisers. If you've done other showcases please share your experience because it could be similar to what I would like to know. Thanks in advanced!

Update:

I'm thinking they pick people randomly but I want other opinions. Also if they do pick people randomly should I go ?

I just got invited too o.O i have NO idea where this came from. they say the age ranges from 16-18 years of age... i'm only 14. i doubt it's a scam though, i wanna go.

and this might be good for college volleyball too, if you wanna play in college, and if you're trying to get noticed by college coaches.. they said that we could contact them too. i'm calling the number at the bottom cuz this seems pretty legit..

i think everyone who plays in USA Volleyball for club volleyball gets this letter and only a few actually go. you should probably call.

Today i also received the letter saying that i was invited to the "HoKaOi 2012 Volleyball Showcase" in Honolulu Hawaii, im 17 years old and when I read the letter I was sold! My mother on the other hand not so mush, after looking over the website and reading all these comments I think I have at least convinced her to go to the meeting but we still aren't sure if its a scam. Plus $2,595 is a lot of money and i don't think just selling t-shirts will help. I also do not understand why I was chosen to go but the 9 other girls on my club team were not. If anyone can further help me, that would be great.

Is it a college showcase? If it is, I would say only attend if you live in Hawaii and want to play volleyball in college. If it is something else, don't do it. It is probably just a way for an organization to make a lot of money. If you can't find any info about it on line, then it's probably just a scam.
