Is it only religion that breeds the vile arrogance to believe that eternal punishment awaits those............?

Before scientific enlightenment, it would have been easy for people in power - such as priests and so on - to convince people that if they do not bend to their view, they will suffer some horrid punishment.

Now it just sounds like a childish, puerile retort. Unfortunately to some cultures it still carries a lot of weight.

Eternity is not a segment of time but simply Un-relative Oneness with the Eternal One. There is no eternal place of torment but one day the Eternal Fire of the Truth is going to destroy all illusion along with those who decided to walk in it because it suite the lust and desire of self and they will cease to exist even in memory after judgment.

Those who PRACTICE sin shall not enter into the kingdom of Heaven.

Many millions have suffered terribly and lost their lives because of this atheistic way of thinking. Atheism kills, because without God there are no rules - anything goes!

Atheists are at the forefront of efforts to legitimize abortion euthanasia, drug-taking prostitution pornography and promiscuity. All those things cause misery, suffering and death. Atheism is the philosophy of death.

Now atheists have no logical alternative but to accept that Jesus is God:

A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. Surely you can't believe it's all about doctrine since there are innumerable doctrines out there. Everyone must die. After that there are 2 options. Nothing happens. Something happens. We who are alive are the ones responsible to make that choice by ourselves. If nothing happens....................nothing matters. If there is an eternity you either go to heaven or hell. If I'm going on a trip I want to have my ticket paid and know my exact destination. Everyone else can make their own plans.

You mean a false religion teaching--- they fall for it because they get their ears tickled with the words--you are saved, or you are born again. then they can keep running around in their sin and believe those lies, they failed to hear Jesus at Matt 7:21-23-- a worker of iniquity is a practicer of sin. Jesus said many times--GO SIN NO MORE-- he meant it.
