How can I make myself realize I am dreaming?
I am interested in learning to lucid dream, and everyone says first you have to realize you are dreaming. They say to get in the habit of asking yourself "Am I dreaming?". That doesn't seem to work for me, if you have any advice or websites that could be helpful, I would really appreciate it! Even advice or good websites about lucid dreaming itself would be great. Thanks :)

My Psychology teacher showed my class this really cool thing for lucid dreaming.
Basically, on one hand you write the letter 'A' for awake.
and on the other hand you write 'S' for sleeping.
then, every 30 mins or so, you should ask yourself the question and look to your hands.
This is most effective when you've done it for about 2 days.

Try jumping into the air a few times a day when nobody is around. Do this daily. After three to four weeks, if you've been consistent, you'll have a dream where you jump into the air. But in dreams, we don't just drop back to the ground, we float back down. Then you'll know you're in a dream.
