Preventing win 7 secuirty 2012?
I've been dealing with this fake virus for a while, i can easily get rid of it, ive messed with my registry each time it pops up, and ive read http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remo... before, i need to know how to prevent it, first time it popped up becuase i clicked on an adobe update ( i havnt been on this computer in a while and i needed to update adobe as it was, only way i was tricked), the 2nd time i was just watching a new anime show on gogoanime.com, and it just shut down my browser without me doing anything.

you don't have to "purchase" ANYTHING, despite what the MalwareBytes Sales Rep above says.
and even using AVG won't stop a trojan from getting on your PC if you inadvertently click on it!
you just need to be informed.
for example, you should NEVER install Adobe Flash Player from ANY site other than adobe.com. even if the site says it will redirect you to Adobe's site, don't believe them. close your browser windows, and reopen them, and manually enter adobe.com into the address bar. it's the only way to know for sure.
and if i were you, i would use a modified HOSTS file:
http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm
it will not only keep the bad ads and sites from showing up in the first place, it will make your internet noticably faster, since it doesn't have to load the ads!
oh, and while you are optimizing your browsing experience, i would set your browser to delete the Temporary Internet Files cache after closing the browser. to do this in IE8, just go to Control Panel, click "Internet Options", and click the "Advanced" tab. then scroll to the bottom of the list, and at the TOP of the bottom of the list should be "Empty Temporary Internet Files Folder when browser is closed". put a check mark there, and click OK. now you won't need to worry about lingering virus files after you end a session of browsing the web!
as for reinstalling Windows, that is just asinine! if we did that every time there was a minor error like Win7 Security on a system, we'd never see daylight! it only takes me 5 minutes to fix this error on a Win7 system! much better than 30 minutes of reinstalling, plus the time to upgrade and reinstall everything, not to mention the time spent backing up and restoring essential files!
just work (or play) smart, and you won't get infected often enough for it to matter :)

Hello, I've seen this rouge on many computers and it deleted some windows services that some software needs and that are part of windows. The safest, easiest, and best way is to just reinstall windows. You can install windows 7 in about 30 mintues. Then start fresh with a good Anti-virus like Norton, Avast, Microsoft Security essentials. I highly recommend either installing the free version of Malwarebytes or buy the pro version of it. It's extremely good.
