Should I let go of my infatuation with the spotlight?

I'm thirteen, I love to act, model, and sketch, but I'm only passionate about singing, acting, and maybe modeling in the future. I'm just stuck at a crossroads, because, I've been telling my family for the longest that I want to go into Anesthetics, but being a doctor is not enough. I want to meet people, I want to be a wild card, I want to sing or act in amazing movies where I can show my personality. To be honest I setting them up for the worst, I'll never be able to see myself being a "doctor", something that millions of people already are. I just feel that if I don't get straightened up soon. life will run me out of time, and my chances of either careers will be a zero, to negative one-hundred! When my laptop gets repaired I'll for sure post a video of my skills but for now, all you have is my word. Its hard to admit somethings to myself, I cried for days when I was younger when I'd finally have to admit to myself, "You may not be famous, or victorious, or known for amazing talent".

So is it true should I let go of my dreams, to be honest I really enjoy singing more than anything, but I'm not a Beyonce' or Jennifer Hudson, or Mariah Carey.

I have worked my behind off for this dream, I just dont want to get ahead of myself.

I say if you are really passionate about becoming a star one day, you should go get your dream. People with natural charisma, talent, and passion for what they do are always the most successful because their passion shines through and sets them apart from everyone else. If you make the right connections and meet the right people, and you really, truly want to be famous, you will find the drive to make it happen naturally.

However, make sure you're not just going through a phase.. many people have dreams of being famous at some point in their lives. The thought of making a living just by being yourself has an incredible appeal and it seems like a fun lifestyle, but not everyone is cut out for that. You're only thirteen and you have literally every path open to you right now.

It's true, you may not get the recognition you probably deserve, but it sounds like you really want this. Go ahead and pursue what you feel you should make your destiny into. You're entering a time in your life where you could do literally anything. Go for what you really want.

    Good luck. :)
