Teens: do you think cats know they're not the same species as us?

I'm laying here, cuddling with my cat and this thought has just occured.

    Aww I love cats :) I consider my cat as my bestfriend :) Shes human to me!

    The average cat's attention span is about 7 minutes.... so I doubt it.

    uhm...idk. xD i mean they're pretty smart!

    like once my cat was kinda flipping the channels and i thought i heard him laughing & he was playing cards with my other cat. .__.

    so i'm pretty sure they know XD
