Why is my dog doing this?

He's about 6 years old and he has been sneezing alot. It seems like it's every few minutes now. I don't think he's sick either. 10 points to best answer

If this has been going on for 3 days or more get to a vet, today.

Many vets are closed on the weekend and you don't want to have to go to an emergency vet on the weekend as that will be expensive.

If it just started, here are some things to look for:

It could be an allergy or he has a virus. A lot of the time when dogs sneeze for long periods of time it could be something caught in his nose that he cant get out. My dog will sneeze a lot sometimes and I'm guessing that it's because she has more smell than some dogs because she is losing her hearing/sight. I have also heard that dogs sneeze because they're happy:but don't quote me because I don't know if that part is true.

If I were you I would wait until tomorrow. If it is something stuck in his nose or something to that extent he may be able to get it out today (due to the sneezing). If he is still sneezing tomorrow take him to your veterinarians so they can help you figure out what it is and give your dog medicine to help him stop.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Couple of reasons... Might be allergy. Might be something is stuck in his nose. In the summer one of my dogs, while growing up, had foxtails in her nose. Tough to get them out. You might consult a vetranerian.
