Would you let your child sleep out on new years eve?

Would you let your child 14 years old, sleep out on new years eve at his friends house? just asking for your opinion?

It really depends on the parent's view. If you think that New Years is holiday that you should spend with your family, then he can go another time.

My opinion is that if it means that much to him, let him go over for a few hours but he has to come back home.

But as I said, it depends on your opinion about the holiday. But I would be a little wary of the sleepover.. a lot of people like to party and drink for New Years. Just a warning.

Yes, if you knew the friend and had discussed it with the parents! But if there was a party at their house, I'd make it clear that my son would not be allowed ANY alcohol. And I'd make sure that my son and his friends did not leave the property (To mess or attend a party etc.)

It depends on the situation, but I'd lean towards allowing it.
