does any one know where I can?
know where I can find a compressor that can push 3-4 cu/ft of air a minute that is compact and electrically operated? I'm just asking before i go on the "goose chase" looking for one, vain hope that some one can ease my search a little

3-4 CFM is no problem. The real problem is what pressure. Here is one at Grainger that may meet your needs if it delivers enough pressure at that flow. You can also look in your local area, googling either pneumatics, or fluid power or duh just air compressor and the name of your home town. Then you can talk to a person who sells this stuff every day.

try www.sciplus.com and www.herbach.com which are two technical surplus houses. If they have it they will have it at a good price.
www.mcmaster.com is another big distributor of pretty much everything that would probably have a few.THey are, however, not the cheapest.
