What does a wireless card do?
Well I have been trying to find things that give you a wireless signal by paying for them once and having them forever ( or atleast a year.) I came across the wireless card idea and was curious about it. Just tell me what it does, the price range, if its what im looking for and anything important about it. MOST DETAILED GETS TOP ANSWER! oh and btw, do you need a router for it?

It picks up wifi, basically an alternative to USB dongles for desktops. You do need a router

it connects to a router which is the gate for a network or you can connect to unprotected networks or open netwoorks and use the internet
