Proof for biblical stories?

I questioned the legitimacy of some stories within the bible. In response my parents said: "believe it or not there's documented evidence that this happened". So I simply asked: "what documents? Where are they?" They ignored me and simply looked at me like "wow, can't you just accept it?". So my question is this: Is there any legitimate evidence that supports biblical stories? Don't even say the bible, because it's just a book. The bible isn't true just because it says it is.

    The Noah's Ark story is flat out impossible. There isn't enough water on earth to flood the entire earth. It's amazing that the christian imaginary sky critter didn't know that considering that he's supposed to be all-knowing.

    Also, do you really believe that a human being was fashioned out of nothing but dust and his mate was made from his rib? Does that make any sense? Of course not.

    Not many. I mean you'll find some of the Kings and places were real, but for the actual stories there isn't much.

    Take the Exodus....the archeology from Egypt not only hasn't found any signs of it, they didn't even use slaves on the big building projects. The art and language influences from a large number of Hebrew slaves aren't there on either side. So in this case the evidence all seems to be the other way.

    The same goes for other things like the flood of Noah. Even parts of the Jesus story doesn't hit on a lot of things. Example: Herod was quite a freak, but there is no other account of him committing genocide against all male babies.

    I find it ironic that people in this age can dismiss the fantastic and miraculous.

    If nuclear bombs dropped all over the world tomorrow and we were sent back to the stone age people of this age would become gods.

    They flew in the sky to the moon and walked on it. They could talk to each other and see each other across the world. They could give you a new organ or bone if yours broke.

    They traveled underneath the ocean and even under the ice of the arctic. They sent ships to other planets. They were able to tame or subdue every creature on the planet. They had the power to blow up the world.

    Get my point? The miraculous of their time was likely more incredible than we remember because they were every bit as smart as we are now.

    No, there is no evidence that supports any of the stories in the bible., The fact that they couldn't provide you with any, and that they tried to divert you attention away from that shows that even they know that fact, though they are too DISHONEST to admit it.

    Religion = BAD morals.

    Renee proved my point perfectly. She claimed that there is some, and demanded that YOU find it. Well, The Burden Of Proof became HERS when she made that claim, and, as usual, she ducked it.

    "Is there any legitimate evidence that supports biblical stories?" Most of them, no. Any of the claims involving the supernatural aspects of the stories: definitely not.

    What stories are you talking about? Time and space in this answer box does not allow me to write about them all. I'll pick one-

    Jesus said that the Jewish Temple would be knocked down.

    Do you see an Temple in Jerusalem? No? Is that enough proof for you, chief?
