How to solve the 3x3x3 rubik's cube?

I once learned how to solve a rubik's cube from a video they used to have on the rubik's cube website. The one they have on it now is confusing. What is a really good video (Or the old one they used to have on the website) on how to solve a 3x3x3 rubik's cube?

A good tip is not trying to solve all six sides, but instead solving all three LAYERS. Keep in mind that when you solve a side/layer, you want all the edge pieces to also match each other. If not, you will only have to undo the work it took to solve that one side. The middle square is whatever color that layer should be. When you solve one layer, the top would be all one color, with a "T" on each connecting side (all except the bottom, three across the top and one in the middle) of whatever color the middle square of those four sides are. Then try to solve the middle layer, while maintaining the top layer. After two layers, go for the third layer. This is much more effective than solving "sides". The first time I tried layers instead of sides, I solved it in around an hour.
