How would you imagine a Post-Apocolyptic world?

What caused the end?

What would you do to survive?

How has society changed?

How long did the process of the ending of the world take? (3 years, 2098 years, etc.)

What would be your daily routine?

Would your morals change? (meaning, is it appropriate to kill people now/steal/break the used-to-be law)

...please keep it PG ish... ya know? Don't act a fool..

    - We are in a post-apocolyptic world. At one point, 99% of the world's species were destroyed.

The end is from a nuclear war. :D

I'd find a group of people who are totally random strangers, but trustworthy enough.

We'd form a close group and assign names to each other.

I'd be known as "The cold-blooded killer" because I'm shifty, difficult to guess, and I have a serious personality.

I'd have equipped 2 knives, and somehow find a pistol if possible..

I'd wear a ninja outfit for the lulz...

The society would change in that there are no morals because all the good people went to Heaven.

The world will never end: all our bodies and minds will deteriorate though.

    My daily routine?

    Wake up

    Go to the bathroom

    Shave

Do some push ups and stretch

Eat some beans or loot for food

    Drink water

And have turf-wars with other people

    And.. fight zombies...

Of course. All the good people went to Heaven, so now all the bad people are stuck on Earth.

Whoever is the most evil person will survive.

Source(s): I'm bald. I have nothing to lose.

I actually think about this occasionally when im bored. I think itwould be kinda cool. I feel like society would end from some sort of disease that causes mass panic and obviously alot of people to die. However it would become dormant but society would be to messed up to rebound. I would take all the nonperishable food i could and a bunch of brita filters and all the guns and ammo i could from my house as well as my german shepard lewis (not from i am legend...i actually have a dog named lewis). I would take a fishing pole and get in my truck and drive to a remote area in canada with my wife and i would built a log cabin and live off the land until society was stable again. if it never becomes stable again then whatever. Ill just keep on doing my own thing. as for what society would be like...a messy dangerous place because people are stupid. and my morals wouldnt change...if a person got in my way trying to get out or tried to rob me id shoot em and probly take their stuff. I wouldnt have a problem killing to stay alive...animals do it everyday. idk.

I really cant think of a realistic situation that would end society though. the world isnt stupid enough for total destruction from nukes or something drastic. maybe a meteor or something. idk. cool question..ya kept me entertained for a bit hah

    zombies. so many zombies.

my party and i are holed up in a navy ship, keeping the gangplank up as much as we can. the ropes that connect our little safe haven from the city are the only way that they can get up, short of jumping the twenty feet from the dock. but those ropes are protected now. not only by the sentry, but by all the barbed wire we could find coiled, hanging, from those woven pieces of fabric that were are only connection to the city across from us. when food is low, we go across to another ship to raid it's stores. but there are only so many of these old abandoned warships in the harbor, and i have no idea what we're going to do once we've gone through all of them. maybe the army will have saved us by then. Ha, the Army's practically a myth now. sure they've got a handful of safehouses in every state, and everyone keeps hoping that they'll kill off these monsters, everyone wants to believe that most of the continent has already been cleared, and that they're just in the last region that they're coming to. but in their hearts, everyone knows the army is dead. society too. the world has fallen to those hideous beasts.

    God I hate them.

Krakatoa has erupted and the resulting volcanic ash has blotted the sun from our sky.The END has been painfully slow as crops failed, natural plants died off from lack of sunlight and animals as well as people starved. Society as we know it is gone. We survivors have become clans. Family by choice and necessity, rather than blood, Banding together with shared skills in order to survive. We have abandoned our urban and suburban homes and built interconnected earth bermed residences in a local small mountain range near a spot of sweet water that hasn't been contaminated by runoff from rot and decay. They are easier to heat and to defend, providing us some sense of security.

There are hunters among us, and gatherers. We called ourselves pickers before the END, haunting garage sales, salvage yards and flea markets for treasure. Now we use those same techniques to feed our clan, to build our homes and to ensure our survival.

There are healers among us. We called ourselves nurse and doctor before the END. Now we do what we can with limited resources and have adopted some of the old ways. Using natural substances when we can find them to keep our members healthy. We are a robust group as only the strongest have survived but is is not an easy life and injuries are frequent. Infections are the enemy.

There are homemakers and cooks among us. We called ourselves wife and mother, designer and Chef before the END. We hold the clan together, providing sustenance, maintaining a home and creating an extended family from individuals forced together by circumstance.

There are defenders among us. We called ourselves soldier, police officer and security agent before the END. Now we spend our days and nights ensuring the safety of our clan and its meager stores.

Our days are busy and purposeful. Our time is spent building a garden from seeds that we have long hoarded and clearing away dry brush and trees. While we are happy that the sun has come back to us, the fires have been terrifying.

Our evenings are spent in craft. it seems that ones hands may never be idle. Our clothing is worn and frequently needs repair. Shoes are the most difficult. None of us is a cobbler and the trial and error of our attempts has resulted in many blisters and one bad infection which is thankfully now under control with the judicious use of lye soap, tea tree oil, and avoidance of the offending shoes.

Discussion is lively and often times heated. We struggle with decisions that affect our very survival. It is important to us to live in a way that does not destroy our humanity and at times our behavior and our choices have crossed a line that none of us thought we would.

We are blessed to have among us a musician, his guitar and several lovely voices to bring some joy to the end of an exhausting day.

Our group also includes artists whose work we cherish. Their gifts of adornment bring joy to our utilitarian home and their stories fill our evenings with hope for the future.

I don't waste my time worrying about post-apocolyptic worlds.
