Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol movie trailer: what is the song on this commercial?
I cannot give any specifics here.... I saw a commercial trailer for MI4: Ghost Protocol on TV ( I live in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX). It's a fairly short trailer. The song on the commercial is short and very hard to hear.. but it sounds rather.. industrial. I am almost certain this song does not appear on the movie soundtrack (all I heard was classical type stuff). If I didn't know any better, I would swear it was something new from Nine Inch Nails... though I am also QUITE sure NIN would prefer not to provide music for the MI movie series soundtracks...Can anyone provide a link to this particular trailer, or even just the music by itself? Many thanks in advance,
@Raven I know the song Closer very well, and it doesn't sound like the same thing as what's in that clip... perhaps if it was played backwards, or remixed in some weird way.... Idk. It's driving me crazy, though trying to identify it precisely.......even more than that, I can't help but wonder, why would they play music that is not on the movie soundtrack for their commercials..??????

The part from the commercial is at around 3 minutes in. It's a good song though, so you should listen to the whole thing :D

I believe the song you're talking about is "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails. I couldn't find a link to the particular trailer on YouTube but I live in Houston and I've seen the same commercial.

I also live in the Texas region, and identifying this song was also bothering me, but if we're thinkning about the same commercial, it's really short almost less than 30 seconds, the song is Nero- My Eyes (taken from the last half).

I'm not sure about the music. I just watched both of them, which are both around two minutes and they didn't seem to have music like that.
I also heard Trent Reznor's music is royalty free. Maybe it is a few songs or an album. I'm not sure.
