Ways to improve hearing?

I'm 19 years old and my hearing is getting worse. I believe this is because I listen to my ipod so much, and I've tried to stop but I love music too much. So I was wondering if anyone knew of ways to improve your hearing, alternative methods are welcome as well :) Thanks

Update:

Thanks for all the answers. I guess the answer is to listen to music with speakers and not with headphones. I might try that fruit and juice diet though ^^ I guess I was just hoping for there to be a way to improve it, but I guess not, thanks anyway :)

there is actually no way to repair hearing

actually there is, but it requires years and years of eating a diet high in fruits and vegetables, and juice fasting, water fasting in particular.

Nerve cells are the most difficult thing to regenerate in the human body. It would take years to be able to repair them.

If you want to protect your hearing - defend it - which means you turn down the iPod, don't listen to anything loudly, and you wear earplugs or other appropriate ear covering when doing things that are loud.

The reason for that is that there is no way to improve hearing - and anyone who wears hearing aids will tell you that even the best ones only help so much.

Source(s): I love someone who is hearing impaired....so do most people....protect what hearing you have. Someday you'll want to hear someone say "I love you". Really.
