Why are they called wisdom teeth when they dont make someone any smarter?

They're called wisdom teeth because they come later in life, (later than the other teeth). At an age where people are though to be more wise.

maybe because they come later in life

than your other permanent teeth

(when you are a little older and wiser)

cause they were used when people were smarter years ago. people aren't smart anymore.
