need help in putting background to a picture I took. I want to do the same as the picture on the link. Do i need a special camera? or tools? I want to take an item and put it on a blue background like the link below.

The photo in question gives proof of two things. First, it originally had a white background, notable because the editing that put the blue in wasn't very good which left several lines of white visible in the finished image. Second, that this is best either shot against the color background you want shown or edited slowly and carefully to leave a clean edit with no hints of the original background in the finished product. You will either need a camera, proper lighting and background of the wanted color or the image containing the product and a good editing program you are familiar with or willing to learn. I'd recommend Photoshop, personally.

One way is by importing your photo to a program such as "Corel Paintshop Pro4". From there, you can take out the background using different techniques and then add a background of your choice to it.
